1988–1995：UFO Idles in Full Bloom—The Rapid Growing Period of Taiwan’s Popular Music
In the early 1990s, Chen established his own music studio for the first time, naming it the Hitzone Music Co., Ltd. He invited Ouyang Fei Fei, who was then traveling in Japan, to return to Taiwan to reboot her career. The first album released, “Embrace”, was of outstanding quality and sold well. Next, he tailored the classic “Grateful Heart” for her. This song, which touched the hearts of numerous Chinese people, brought Ouyang’s musical career to a new high. The Hitzone Music Co., Ltd., also made the dancing group Tokyo D from Japan and the Hong Kong singer Teresa Cheung famous. Chen’s diverse creative abilities allowed singers of different attributes to shine, leading to the outstanding sale of their albums.
