Who was Chen Chih-Yuan? Most people do not recognize this name when they hear it. This name has appeared on over a thousand albums since the folk song era. In the 1980s, the era when he set the record for the number of arrangements by one person, more than half of the top 30 hits featured his musical arrangements. His acute sense of music, inexhaustible creativity, and grand arrangement concepts allowed him to compose hundreds of songs in over 30 years and to arrange possibly nearly 10,000 pieces of music.

"Papa, Can You Hear Me Sing?" and "The Last Night of Madam Chin" won The Golden Horse Film Festival Awards' Best Original Film Score and Best Original Film Song.
