Released in 1938 as a duet by Chun-chun and Yan-yan, “Four Seasons of Red” became a Taiwanese popular music classic. It was a representative work during Chen Jyun-yu’s time as head of the Literary and Artistic Department at Nitto Records. With lyrics by Li Lin-ciou and music by Deng Yu-hsien, the song stood out as a rare male-female duet and was issued as a “photo disc,” featuring the singers’ portraits printed directly on the label.
