Era：1933 Exhibition loan unit：Mr. Lin Tai-wei - Released in 1933 and performed by Chun-chun, "Song of Repentance" was the promotional theme song for the Shanghai silent film Repentance, adapted specifically for the Taiwanese audience. The lyrics were written by Li Lin-ciou and the music composed by Su Tung—both of whom were also film narrators (benshi). To promote the film and song, Chun-chun made a special stage appearance to perform it live at the Yongle Theater.
