“Re-ware concrete paint” Starting from being wasteless and getting back to what paint really is
The third generation manager of Kousancraft, Shin-You, Lai,created the “Re-ware concrete paint” through the inspiration of the pile paint technique by mixing paint and waste. Granting paint new meaning and texture.
“Re-ware concrete paint” uses waste paper cups as its body, mixing raw paint and powder-like waste, stacked layer by layer to create a rock-like texture. Making accessories such as earrings and rings out of it.
The waste includes peanut shells from Chiayi, wood chips from furniture factories in Wufeng, oyster shells, and coffee grounds.
After wearing them for some time, consumers may choose to create new texture or makie foils to connect the object with the owner. Or recycle it and create new concrete paint.
