Spring Sprouts Innovations for Social Service and Professor Chang’s research team from The National Taiwan University have found out resource disposal problems on wasted coffee bean bags. They both start from their professions and cooperative in the perpetual cycle action.
Coffee bean bags possess great flexibility and bending resistance. This has caused the NTU team develop panels through the VARTM technique. It can not only be used as architecture panels and structural reinforcement, but also be made into curved furniture and other crafts.
On the other hand, Spring Sprouts Innovations called out for cooperation with圖壤咖啡and 路易莎咖啡 in the name of “Swing Reeds.” Together, they collect used bean bags from the entrepreneurs, and then remade into sustainable fashion products by socially disadvantaged women.
