In Cindy Chao’s 20th Anniversary Collection, she masterfully captures the essence of the changing seasons—spring, summer, autumn, and winter—through the form of a single leaf. This groundbreaking series showcases her deep expertise in jewellery artistry. To bring each season to life, she enlisted 12 European master craftsmen, each with over 30 years of experience. From 100,000 gemstones, they selected over 10,000 to ensure each leaf radiated perfect brilliance and depth.
These craftsmen worked only during the corresponding season, infusing the pieces with natural vitality. Each leaf, adorned with an average of 1,500 gemstones, is set on a delicate titanium base just 1.77 millimetres thick, featuring intricate curves that highlight Cindy’s exceptional spatial and sculptural skills.
Despite their light weight of just 22 grams, these gemstone-encrusted brooches capture the grace and movement of real leaves. This collection celebrates nature's life force and marks a pinnacle in Cindy Chao’s artistry, showcasing her ability to balance complexity and simplicity, merging craftsmanship with aesthetics.
