Two pieces have been acquired by prestigious museums, and two others have set auction records. Demand for future butterfly pieces is so high that reservations are committed until 2028, highlighting their esteemed status among collectors.
The 2019 Aurora Butterfly Brooch, created for the brand’s 15th anniversary, reflects Cindy’s return to her creative roots, blending her architect grandfather's structural thinking with modern jewellery design. This piece marks a new artistic pinnacle for the butterfly series, combining craftsmanship and innovation.
For the first time, anodised aluminium was used, with four Burmese pigeon blood rubies seamlessly set into the base after nearly 100 trials, demonstrating Cindy Chao’s boundary-pushing approach to materials.
