Before becoming a household name, Chang played rock and heavy metal music with his distinctive vocal. These experiences also emerged in his creative albums, as a way to reveal his authentic self besides romantic pop songs.
This section includes interviews with his bandmates. Chen Tzu-hung was active in the same college guitar club, and invited Chang to be the vocalist for YEAH band. Chiang Yung-cheng was a drummer in Metal Kids to participate in the 1st Light Music Festival with Chang, and become his long-term drummer.
