Have you SEEN music? Images and music flow like a river. Masa from Mayday band, Chang's long-term audio engineer, and dosomething studio create a music river to the moon. Listen, feel, and learn about how musicians creatively arrange and integrate elements together.
River was published in Chang's last album “Duplicity” in 1997, and it's one of his classics to many fans. String music and rock offered additional layers in the song, and he recorded all the chorus himself, and included two guitars as an experiment in the end. He constructed a full song with vocal, guitar, piano, string music, and drums to deliver emotions.
“Duplicity” was Chang's last solo album, and also regarded as the highlight of his music career. Poetic lyrics captured twists and turns in romance. Sitar at the beginning implied his affections to rock music. Chang also carefully arranged chorus and guitar, and showed his ambitions in details. At the end of this track, there is a 30-second segment that was not included in the original version.
