V&J Studio 在2024年開啟了寶特瓶再生毛線的生產計畫，起源於她們在大型裝置藝 術創作過程中，發現展品結束後材料經常被棄置，對環境造成不必要的浪費。為解 決這一問題，她們攜手工廠，開發出以寶特瓶回收再製的毛線，不僅減少了資源浪 費，還能廣泛應用於藝術創作與商品設計，實現永續與創意的雙重目標。 這項開發展現了技術精進與環保理念的融合。成員之一的 JOY 提到，歐美市場雖是 編織大國，但主要以羊毛為主，環保毛線供應相對稀少。而台灣在回收再製線紗與 壓克力紗線的技術上具備世界領先優勢，使其成為差異化商品的創新基礎。透過這 些技術與跨文化合作，V&J Studio將環保意識融入藝術價值，為品牌增添更多可能性。
In 2024, V&J Studio launched a production plan for recycled PET bottle yarn. The idea originated from their experience during large-scale installation art projects, where they noticed that materials were often discarded after the exhibitions, causing environmental waste. To solve this issue, they collaborated with manufacturers to develop yarn made from recycled PET bottles. This not only reduces resource waste but can also be widely applied in art creations and product designs, achieving the dual goals of sustainability and creativity. This development showcases the integration of advanced technology and environmental concepts. JOY pointed out that while Europe and the U.S. are major players in the knitting industry, they mainly use wool, and eco-friendly yarn options are relatively scarce. Taiwan, however, holds a leading global advantage in the technology of recycling yarns and acrylic fibers, providing a solid foundation for differentiated and innovative products. Through these technologies and cross-cultural collaborations, V&J Studio blends environmental awareness with artistic value, adding more possibilities to the brand.
