Songshan Cultural and Creative Park

Built in 1937, Songshan Cultural and Creative Park (SCCP) began its life as the Songshan Tobacco Factory of the Taiwan Governor-General Monopoly Bureau. It was later taken over by the Taiwan Provincial Monopoly Bureau and renamed Songshan Tobacco Factory of the Taiwan Provincial Monopoly Bureau. As the first cigarette-rolling factory in Taiwan, it manufactured cigarettes and cigars, generating considerable income for Taiwan at the time. SCCP shoulders the missions of promoting Taipei's originality, reinforcing Taipei's cultural and creative soft power, and enhancing the city's competitiveness. Recognized as “Taipei City’s Hub for Originality,” SCCP serves as a social enterprise for the cultural and creative industries. Located in a prime area of Taipei City, with new buildings rising around it, SCCP’s rich history, ecology, and culture stand out even more. Each year, SCCP organizes events such as the SCCP Grad Expo, Songyan Summer Festival, and the Songyanland Festival to promote its brands and support emerging creators. SCCP fulfills its role as “Taipei City’s Hub for Originality” by redefining soft power, building social networks, managing brand value, and cultivating talent. By fostering creative minds and encouraging innovation, SCCP has become not only an important hub for creativity in Taiwan, but also a key site in the international cultural and creative industry. It provides a space for the public to appreciate art and innovation, and to marvel at creativity that knows no bounds.

Founded in 2012, Sandwishes Studio aims to foster inclusive imagination within the cracks in society. Through creative works and collaborative projects, such as public art, curated exhibitions, and accessible designs, the Sandwishes Studio proposes new takes on existing issues and narratives, creating possibilities based on the idea of “playing together, play everywhere.”

Born in Cork, Ireland. Margot GUILLEMOT's works often question the concepts of presence and representation in digital images and discuss the definitions of seeing and going in contemporary life. She uses her work to make sense of space. Through multiple perspectives, she creates scenes of montages, attempting a totalizing portrait of a place.

Born in Taoyuan, Taiwan. Chieh-sen CHIU has long been concerned with the transformations and reductions that occur when cultural-geographic maps intersect with real environments. Behind his works lies a reflection on the links between human thought, the body, the environment, and space.

Born in Chiayi, Taiwan, Hsueh-han CHOU excels at observing objects, relics, or remnants from various times and spaces. He transforms and collages materials, concepts, and forms to craft unique contexts and narratives. Through slices of everyday life, he seeks to understand and evoke events, memories, and stories that are often forgotten or overlooked.

Born in Taoyuan, Taiwan. Po-ching CHOU practices in diverse fields. He integrates various concepts and elements, including frequency, electro-optics, kinetic machinery, and programming language. His works often use metaphors and allusions, attempting to create a poetic tension between the figurative and the abstract. This approach invites viewers to engage in contemporary reflection.

Hsieh-chien CHEN ＆ Chun-chen LEE

Born in Yunlin, Taiwan, Hsieh-chien CHEN specializes in using a paint scraper as his brush. He has developed a unique “art paint” that creatively incorporates various three-dimensional sculptural forms on walls to create special visual effects. Chen mentors rising talent Chun-chen Lee. Together, they promote art paint, aiming to transform the industry's future.

Founded by Chen-Yi SHI in 2022, Jo Qrz team focuses on “Beyond Circus” and aims to discover the diverse art forms and expressions of contemporary circus. The team is actively engaged in the development of acrobatics talent while establishing a safe, efficient, and well-founded training system.
