Artisan Yung-Mo Lee of the Tree Art Workshop specializes in crafting animal-themed figurines using natural materials. One such creation is the Joyful Frog, designed with seeds to evoke a sense of childlike wonder and joy found in nature. Professor Cheng-Min Lin of National Formosa University further integrated technology by incorporating AI-enabled voice recognition chips, ultrasonic sensors, WS2812 RGB lights, and micro:bit. These enhancements allow the Joyful Frog to respond to voice commands, change the color of its lights, or send instructions to the Singing Mouse to play a story. Additionally, Lecturer Shu-Er Wang from National Taichung University of Science and Technology wrapped WS2812 RGB lights with Tetrapanax papyrifer (rice paper plant) petals, creating an interactive effect reminiscent of blooming flowers—seamlessly blending natural craftsmanship with smart technology.
