Completion of a song

Master arranger Chen Chih-Yuan was also a mischievous master of humor. In his manuscript, we can often see his notes with various funny puns on homophones or making fun of song titles or people’s names. For example, Vincent Liang’s famous song “Read You” became “Gamble on You” (which have the same sound in Chinese). The song he arranged for Diana Yang, “Keep the Heart” became “Take Away the Liver.” The dynamic song the producer Lee Shou-Chuan produced for Delphine “Wawa” Chin was called “Dance All Night.” In addition, producer Jonathan Lee always had a lot of thoughts and opinions on the songs Chen Chih-Yuan made for him. Chen Chih-Yuan intentionally made notes on passages in the scores for “Prof. Lee, please advise” and “Please ask Lee, who has leftover reasons” (a pun on his name in Chinese) for him to decide for himself.
