Era:1932 Exhibition loan unit:Mr. Lin Tai-wei - Released in 1933 by Wen Sheng Records, "Dadaocheng March" was composed by Deng Yu-hsien and written in Japanese by the label’s literary and artistic department. It was categorized as a “new folk ballad” (Taiwan shin min'yō), with its structure reflecting the seasonal changes in Dadaocheng—spring, summer, autumn, and winter. The song drew the attention of Taiwan Columbia, then the largest record company in Taiwan. Impressed by the composition, Chen Jyun-yu invited Deng Yu-hsien to join the company. After joining, Deng quickly rose to prominence, composing many of Taiwan’s most enduring classics. "Dadaocheng March" remains one of his most significant early works.
