1876-1929 Wang Xipin/ Four Seasons Flowers and Trees in Four Hanging Scrolls(Partial) 【Description】 Wang Xipin, originally named Wan, courtesy name Guanchi, was a Xiucai from Lukang, Changhua. He passed first Shengyuan assessment exams and was admitted to the county school. Wang Xipin showed an early passion for painting and excelled in painting the "Four Gentlemen" (plum, orchid, bamboo, and chrysanthemum). This work was originally a set of four panels depicting seasonal scenes with pine, plum, lotus, and chrysanthemum. The displayed chrysanthemum and lotus panels feature free-flowing brushwork and delicate colors, differing from his typical ink style of the Four Gentlemen.
