NCCU(National Chengchi University) Golden Melody Contest is a significant college music competition in Taiwan. Many artists have started their music careers via this event, such as Cheer Chen, Crowd Lu, and Sodagreen band. When Chang participated in the contest, he won the first place for Creative Songwriting, as well as Best Lyricist and Best Composer.
