橫跨創作陶與生活陶，因製作陶瓷茶壺，王怡方也學習了台灣與日本的茶道儀式， 將茶席視為說故事的舞台，以自身創作的茶壺組泡上一壺壺好茶，品茗的同時，也品陶、品人生。每每在前往國外駐村時，王怡方總會帶著自製的陶瓷茶具組，小巧 的尺寸不僅攜帶便利，更讓人一見難忘。只要遇上一人一菜的邀約，王怡方總會擺 出自己的茶席，選擇具有台灣代表性的茶種，泡出一杯杯台灣茶，並透過茶道儀式 與品飲體驗，帶來真正的故事交流。 她到葡萄牙旅遊時，偶然參訪法國陶藝家的工作室，在分享作品照片與台灣文化 時，對方在言談間表達出想學習茶道的渴望，王怡方便拿出隨身攜帶的茶具組，用 自己手做的迷你茶壺沖泡台灣的凍頂烏龍茶，不只驚豔了在場的新朋友們，還因此 獲邀再次前往該工作室進行異地創作，兩個月在葡萄牙的生活體驗，也啟發了她更多元的創作靈感。
Bridging the realms of functional ceramics and art, Wang Evon’s journey into crafting ceramic teapots led her to study Taiwanese and Japanese tea ceremonies. She views the tea table as a stage for storytelling, brewing tea in her self-designed sets while savoring life, ceramics, and the art of tea. During her artist residencies abroad, Wang always carries a compact, self-made tea set. Its portable size is both practical and innovative, allowing her to create impromptu tea ceremonies that highlight Taiwanese teas. Through these rituals, Wang fosters cultural exchange and storytelling over a shared cup of tea.
On a trip to Portugal, Wang visited a French ceramicist’s studio. While sharing photos of her works and stories about Taiwanese culture, she discovered the ceramicist’s desire to learn tea ceremonies. Taking out her travel tea set, Wang brewed Taiwan’s Dong Ding Oolong tea using her handmade miniature teapot. This impromptu session not only amazed her new acquaintances but also earned her an invitation to return for a collaborative project. The two months she spent in Portugal brought a wealth of experiences that sparked fresh creative inspirations.
王怡方 Wang Evon
1990年生，曾任工業產品設計師，偶然接觸做陶，感受到對於陶土材料的熱愛，在與陶藝前輩學習的路上立定工藝志向，前往日本多摩美術大學就讀研究所，鑽研陶瓷創作，在設計與藝術雙背景的經歷下，橫跨生活 陶與創作陶領域。 生活裡的個人哲思反映在作品之中，從墨西哥藝術家芙烈達的頭飾、項鍊及繃帶胸衣之中，反思其苦痛、束 縛與對於生命的熱愛，對比蝴蝶破繭而出的脫胎換骨，也回應身為女性同時擁有堅強、脆弱、溫柔、強悍的 力量。而經常駐村旅居世界各地的王怡方，也帶著自製的旅行茶組，於駐足之地沏一壺茶，與各國友人分享 茶道儀式，以茶會友，更以陶入魂。
Wang Evon, born in 1990, started her career as an industrial product designer before discovering her love for ceramics. Encouraged by mentors, she decided to focus on crafts and pursued advanced studies in ceramic art at Tama Art University in Japan. With her combined experience in design and art, Wang skillfully creates both functional and artistic ceramic pieces.
Her personal philosophy shines through her work, inspired by Mexican artist Frida Kahlo's iconic headdresses, necklaces, and corsets. Wang’s creations explore themes of pain, constraint, and a deep appreciation for life, symbolized by the transformative journey of a butterfly emerging from its cocoon. This reflects her view of womanhood as a balance of strength, vulnerability, gentleness, and resilience. As an artist-in-residence in various countries, Wang often carries a handmade travel tea set, hosting tea ceremonies to connect with people worldwide. Through these shared moments, she blends her passion for tea with her art, bringing warmth and meaning to her ceramic creations.
