American School in Taichung is a small non-profit school with about 230 students in the heart of Taiwan for grades 1 to 12. We are accredited by WASC and follow a standard American and international curriculum.

台中美國學校是一所小型的非營利性學校，位在台灣中心擁有大約 230 名 1 至 12 年級的學生。我們獲得 WASC 認證，並遵循標準的美國和國際課程。

本體為建設企業的建築專業領域，是一個新興的藝術展演場所，也是文化的孕育所在。
結合建築、藝術及文化的人文創意資產，並以建築、藝術與文化的對話為發想，呈現藝術對空間以及文化結構的探索。希望透過展覽、講座、出版、媒體…等藝文事件的推廣，啟發一般大眾的人文思考與對環境的關懷，讓建築、藝術與文化在各個領域積極展現創意的能量，並發表宣言或建立人文思潮與風格推演的平台與媒介，期望可以達致跨領域、跨平台、跨地域的結合，實現建築與人文、藝術合一的理念。

藝術的表達形式很多樣，不論是一幅水彩畫，一首好聽的旋律或是一篇優美的詩詞。只要可以從中獲得愉悅與美的感悟就是藝術所賦予的意義。

AST 的同伴們希望透過藝術表達自己身處在這個多元社會的感受，因為疫情改變了人們生活的型態以及人與人之間的信任。我們希望透過這次藝術作品的交流重新拉進人們的距離。由Ms. Lin指導的中小學學生作品和Mr. Wiles帶領的手鐘樂團，其它個人參展作品與個人獨奏都將為我們帶來一場美的饗宴。

Art comes in many different forms: paintings, musical performances, or even poetry. It can inspire us with its beauty, bring joy, or even make us feel at peace. Whatever the personal experience, we can all share the magic of celebrating the arts.

AST students hope to use art to deliver their feelings towards society, change perspectives during the pandemic and build stronger trust towards each other; creating a sense of unity. Be prepared for the artworks by Ms. Lin’s elementary art class students, the Bells Choir led by Dr. Wiles, and other artworks and musical performances. Join us as you take a journey through this timeless gallery and let your imagination take flight.
